Mina Moose

Ann and I think often of the pups.  It’s good to have fond memories of the ones you love.  This week I heard a story on NPR about Mexico’s Day of the Dead, and how it’s a day to remember those you love instead of being something scary or morbid or sad.  That's how Ann and I usually approach thinking about the pups.  When we remember, we tend to laugh a lot and remember the funny things.

Mina gets more than her fair share of remembering.  She was such a sweet pup.  We see quite a few German Shepherds colored a lot like Mina around here.  That’s not surprising given the breeder we got her from has gravitated to breeding the sable colored shepherds instead of the traditional black and brown ones.  Plus, Mina was such a funny puppy that almost any puppy reminds us of her.

Then, every once in a while another animal will make one of Mina’s expressions and . . . of course we think of her.

So was Mina part moose, or was this moose part German Shepherd?
