Fresno and Sportsmobile, Here We Come!

After 15 months of waiting, we are off to pick up our long-anticipated Sportsmobile.   The map below shows the main places we plan to stop on our trip.  As is often the case, there are last minute changes in our routes - whether it's due to weather, road conditions or just 'cause we feel like it.  This weekend, Dan realized we could spend our first night in the Sportsmobile in Death Valley.  So that's our plan - for now. The "real" trip will begin once we drop off the Sportsmobile driver and our rental SUV at the Las Vegas airport on Friday, April 14th.  

We'll take a relaxing drive back, stopping to photograph on the way.  The end of day destinations - Death Valley and Pyramid Lake are shown in blue on the map.  Getting between the two is up in the air.  The orange route takes has us exploring new ground, but will take a bit longer time-wise.  Going the purple route lets us see more of Death Valley, but then has us going up a road we'll be coming back down in about 3 weeks.  Which route we take may all depend on how we feel Saturday morning, or a coin toss!
