Fujifilm X-T5

For me, one of the things I love about Fujifilm and the X-T series is they don’t mix things up too much.  So whenever I pick up a new version of an X-T I have some idea of what I’m doing with it.  The X-T5 was no different - everything feels familiar, which for me is good. That leaves me to focus on making photographs with the improved technology, like the new 40 mp sensor.

There are, of course, all the manual controls that were on the previous X-T cameras, which I know and love. And then there is the in-body camera stabilization that Fujifilm has gotten down to a science.

The icing on the cake is that Fujifilm dumped the flippy screen they used for the X-T4 and went back to the 3-way screen I’m familiar with from my X-T3.  Good move Fujifilm.

Of course, the elephant in the room is which color is cooler.  Sorry Dan, the silver is so much sexier than black.

I now have another new camera, just in time for us to begin our travels again.  I’m sure I’ll be putting it to very good use over the next few years.
